Welcome to ELC! I am Pastor Dennis. I feel very blessed that our Heavenly Father brought me to serve as pastor of God’s people here at ELC in 2009. What a wonderful journey it has been so far! God has brought so many new faces to ELC and it has been exciting watching so many people either come to faith for the first time, or growing deeper in their love for our Lord Jesus Christ and His people. Although we have come a long way, we still have a tremendous amount of work to do. Our main focus in the coming years is to help our members grow deeper in their love for Jesus and for His people. We also want to help strengthen our families to be able to pass their faith on to their children. If you are looking for a congregation of people who are genuine, caring, pretty much “down to earth”, joyful, and who are growing in their faith, then we would love to have you come visit us. If you would like information before you visit, please feel free to contact either myself, Pastor Drahus, or our church office. On another personal note, I have been married to my wife Linda for over 35 years. We have two children, Joshua and Bethany. I enjoy hunting, fishing, and just about any outdoor activity. I also am a Rams, Knicks and Mets fan. I know I really shouldn’t list them!! We hope to meet you soon!
Welcome to ELC! I’m Pastor Drahus. My name may seem a bit strange—it is Slovak, just like me. I was born and raised in Slovakia. People call me Drahus (Dra-Hoosh). Though I’m Slovak, I have spent a great deal of time in the U.S. I came to serve as a counselor for the summer months at Camp Nawakwa in Arendtsville, PA. During my first summer at Camp Nawakwa, I met my wife, Andrea, who grew up here in Waynesboro. We’ve been serving at ELC for almost 10 years now, and it has been an exciting journey filled with great friends, growing ministries and many wonderful memories. Our hearts are filled with joy when we witness our members growing closer to God, closer to one another as well as closer to the world, reaching out with the Good News of Jesus Christ. In our free time we enjoy the outdoors: backpacking, hiking and camping with the family. (And I am a big fly fisherman). We love the caring and hopeful people of ELC. We feel truly blessed to be a part of this wonderful community of faith and are always excited to welcome new friends. I am deeply grateful and joyful to see people in many different places on their spiritual journey coming together to experience the love and grace of God. Looking forward to seeing you some time!
